An Ancient Egyptian burial shroud has sold for $426,000 at PIASA auction house in Paris.

The lot led a sale on June 18.
It's one of very few Egyptian burial shrouds ever offered at auction and dates back to the 14th century BC.
It was placed in the tomb of a man named Ta-nedjem and displays hieroglyphics that read: "Offering of all things good and pure for the Ka (vitality) of Ta-nedjem of just voice."
