Highlighting the sale will be an effigy pipe made from white polished stone in the shape of a bear.
"This auction includes the largest Native American collection we have sold in over 25 years," commented the auction house's Mr Woody.
"There are nearly 50 prehistoric effigy pipes (pipes made in the likeness of an animal), as well as ceremonial axes, beaded boots and moccasins, baskets, blankets and more."
On November 15, Sotheby's will offer the monumental tribal art collection of dealer Allan Stone, which will gather international attention.
