Sotheby's are preparing to host their annual sale of 19th Century European Art in New York next month.
The auction, scheduled for May 4, will feature 110 works from artists including Giovanni Boldini, James Jacques-Tissot and Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot.
Headlining the sale will be Jacques-Tissot's The Morning Ride, which appears at auction for the first time in more than 65 years after spending several decades in a private collection.
Last sold in 1944, its appearance next month is sure to attract serious collectors as fresh-to-the-market works have driven numerous major sales in recent months. It will be offered with a pre-sale estimate of $2m - $3m.

Sotheby's will also hope to build on their recent successes with the work of Giovanni Boldini, having set two of the top three auction prices for his work in 2010.
His 1906 life-size painting Portrait of Mrs. Howard-Johnston will cross the auction block with an estimated value of $1.5m - $2m.
Elsewhere, the landscape Les étangs de Ville d'Avray by Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot will feature with a value of $700,000 - $1m alongside Jean Béraud's Brasserie d'étudiants, valued at $400,000 - $600,000.
The auction will also include a collection of six paintings by the French artist William Bouguereau, including L'Orientale à la grenade and Orpheline à la fontaine.
The former is priced at $500,000 - $700,000 and has recently reappeared after more than a century away from the public eye, whereas the latter work is valued at $700,000 - $900,000 and features an unknown model who appears in many of the artist's works painted between 1879 and 1883.
