Alexei Levin's poster advertising the Mosckovsky Rabochy (Moscow Worker) is to lead a sale of Russian posters at Mercer & Middlesex Auctions in New Jersey on June 29.
It carries an estimate of $10,000-15,000 and features text by Vladimir Mayakovsky, the futurist playwright, artist and author, that reads: Rabochiye, chto chitat' vam? (What Should You Read, Workers?).

Mayakovsky was a tireless advocate for the Soviet state during the early 20th century, but later grew disillusioned and began producing plays that were increasingly critical of the government before shooting himself in 1930.
The poster is exceptionally rare and has never been recorded, although Mayakovsky scholars were aware of its existence.
Dmitry Moor's A Solemn Promise is another highlight with an estimate of $5,000-7,000.
The poster features a depiction of Red Army volunteers with a reproduction of the oath that was first introduced in 1918.
Moor (1883-1946) produced hundreds of political and propaganda posters during the Russian civil war and went on to edit Bezbozhnik (Godless) magazine - a review published by the League of Militant Atheists.
