Sotheby's has announced that it will sell the monumental collection of respected dealer Allan Stone, with the first sale set for November 15, 2013.

Stone's collection focuses on native and tribal art, with the first auction to star his African, Oceanic and Indonesian artefacts. A further sale will follow in November 2014, with African, pre-Columbian and Native American art.
Overall, the collection is expected to bring more than $20m, with his Songye community power figure - a celebrated work - expected to realise in excess of $1m.
The figure originates from the Democratic Republic of Congo and features four animal horns orientated to the cardinal directions on its head.
Widely published and exhibited, it was also included in the landmark exhibition Africa: the Art of a Continent at New York's Guggenheim Museum in 1996.
