A sketch by President Donald Trump will be offered in an upcoming sale of political memorabilia at Heritage Auctions in Dallas.
Bidding stands at $9,375 ahead of the December 2 close date.
Trump has produced several sketches of New York over the years
The piece (from 2005) is one of several illustrations of New York City Trump has created for sale in charity auctions over the years.
It's not a bad effort, showing taxis and people alongside buildings.
Heritage comments: “It is boldly signed with a clearly legible "Donald Trump" signature (it is interesting to note how Mr. Trump's signature has changed over the years, as more recent iterations are far less legible).
“The same might be said of his more recent depictions of the New York City skyline, which tend to lack the multi-color treatment and fine detail reflected in this 2005 work.”
The results in those previous sales have been impressive, with one (much starker) specimen selling for $29,184 at Nate D Sanders over the summer.
A sketch of the Empire State Building, completed in the 1990s, realised $16,000 in October.
There’s also a suitably opulent set of cherubic candlesticks belonging to Marla Maples, Trump’s second wife (from 1993-1999).
The candlesticks were a regular feature at the Trumps’ table throughout the 1990s.
They're valued at north of $625.
The auction will also include the bugle played at Abraham Lincoln’s funeral.
