Frank Stella's Eskimo Curlew (3X) is expected to see the highest bids in Heritage Auctions' November 2 auction of Modern & Contemporary Art in Dallas.

The piece, a 1977 work from Stella's Exotic Birds series, is valued at $200,000-300,000.
Made from enamel, oilstick and crushed glass on corrugated aluminium, the work represents a change from Stella's earliest creations; the ordered linear compositions of his work now broken into more spontaneous, looser forms.
It was last sold at auction for $318,400 at Christie's in 2006, making a 27.3% increase on its $250,000 high estimate.
Stella's Puerto Rican Blue Pigeon 1980, another work from the Exotic Birds series, will also feature at Heritage, holding an $80,000-120,000 estimate.
The current record for Stella's work at auction is held by Bethlehem's Hospital at $4.3m, following a 2003 sale at Christie's.
