It isn't the first time that picture of Jerry Hall has attracted significant attention... But a work with a difference sold for £600,000 at Sotheby's over the weekend.
Eight Months Gone, a painting by Lucian Freud, once called "the greatest living realist painter," depicts the model naked and heavily pregnant.
It auctioned with a pre-sale estimate of between £300,000 and £400,000.

Apparently, Hall and Freud met at a dinner party. The resulting work was painted in 1997 while she was pregnant with her fourth child, Gabriel.
According to reports, Hall's sale of the painting was a break with the past for the star, specifically her relationship with Rolling Stones singer Mick Jagger.
The Freud painting auctioned alongside other works by Frank Auerbach, David Bailey and Damien Hirst at the October 15-16 sale.
