Marc Chagall's Saint Germain des Pres (1953) is to cross the block with a $300,000-500,000 estimate.
It's set to lead a sale of contemporary art at Heritage Auctions in Dallas on May 30.

Heritage comments: "Marc Chagall was a unique artist who created art according to his heritage and experiences rather than based on the principles of the many modern art movements of his time…
"He grew up in a world of mysticism, and Jewish lore and culture, which forever influenced the dreamlike quality of his paintings."
He was also the longest lived of the great early modernists and worked up until his death in 1985 at the age of 97. He was hugely prolific and his work is highly sought after today.
Ed Ruscha's 99% Angel, 1% Devil is also on offer with a valuation of $80,000-120,000.
The work dates to 1983 and is part of the artist's word painting series, which he began during the 1960s.
Other artists offered in the sale include Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein.
