Laidlaw Auctioneers is to sell legendary Hollywood director Milton Krasner’s photo archive on March 25.

The archive include pictures of stars such as Marilyn Monroe and Cary Grant, which Krasner took on the sets of his celebrated movies.

Auctioneer Paul Laidlaw comments: “Krasner’s photographs are the closest you will get to a Hollywood time machine.

“They offer a seductive and somewhat intimate behind the scenes glimpse into the Golden Age of cinema. I defy anyone to not get chills when looking at life through such a lens.”

Individual photographs are valued at up to £500 ($624) apiece.
