Online previews are now open for Skinner's forthcoming auction of American Indian & Ethnographic Art, on May 15.
Highlights in the sale will include this rare and historic beaded suitcase from Lakota, US, in the late 19th century.
The multicolored pictoral beadwork has been sewn on buffalo hide, covering a commercial leather and metal period travel suitcase.

The unique suitcase will auction with an estimate of $40,000-60,000.
Various sculptures and photograph artworks will feature in the sale, with other highlights including an African Wood and Metal Reliquary Figure estimated at $5,000-7,000.
Live pre-sale viewings will also be held at Skinner in Boston, Massachusetts, US.
