The Bride of Frankenstein is one of the most iconic horror movies ever made, and memorabilia associated with it is always likely to be valuable.
A great example has come up at Heritage, where an insert poster for the film will headline the sale. The poster, featuring some eye-catching images is one of very few available to collectors.

"I cannot overstate the rarity and desirability of original release poster material for this movie, one of the greatest classic horror films of all time," said Grey Smith, Director of Movie Poster Auctions at Heritage.
"Only a handful of these insert posters have ever surfaced, period. It features some of the best art ever designed for this release. Collectors don't get a chance like this too often."
Boris Karloff as the Frankenstein Monster has never looked more menacing, and all the other main characters, from Elsa Lanchester as "the Bride", to Colin Clive, Valerie Hobson, Ernest Thesiger and Dwight Frye, are all well represented on this strikingly eerie poster.

Described as Fine+, with minor repairs expertly performed, it is estimated at $95,000.
One of the Bride's few rivals for covetability amongst movie poster collectors is Dracula (1931).
Appearing in Heritage's auction, from the collection of Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett, is a jumbo lobby card 14" x 17" showing Bela Lugosi as Dracula dominating assistant Reinfeld (Dwight Frye) whilst Mina Harker (Helen Chandler) stands by in a trance.
Film Noir fans will be delighted to see a poster for This Gun for Hire (1942) with Veronica Lake and Alan Ladd, and there is also an original insert poster from The Wizard of Oz, both also at $20,000. All three pieces are offered at $20,000.
The sale takes place on July 16-17. Bidders who wish to keep a safe distance from lumbering monsters, undead fiends and wicked witches can participate online.
