A complete set of Andy Warhol's Endangered Species prints, from 1983, will highlight Sotheby's Old Master, Modern and Contemporary Prints auction on March 19 in London.

The series of 10 is expected to bring £250,000-300,000 ($376,000-451,000), its value boosted by the fact that acquiring a complete set of any of Warhol's prints is an incredibly difficult task.
The idea for Endangered Animals was first proposed to Warhol by his New York art dealers Frayda and Ronald Feldman, following a conversation with the artist on the ecological issue of beach erosion. Each animal is featured on its own print, highlighting its iconic status.
