Christie's will host an online auction of fashion-inspired Andy Warhol artworks later this month.

The Andy Warhol@Christie's Fashion sale runs from September 11-25, with proceeds going to the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts.
Before he conquered the art world, Warhol was a jobbing illustrator for fashion magazines in the 1950s, including Vogue, Glamour and Harper's Bazaar. A $12,000-valued circa 1955 ink on paper work, Female Fashion Figures, will feature among the lots.
His circa 1960 Blue Skirt Suit painting has a $5,000 high estimate.
Warhol also produced adverts for shoe company I. Miller during the 1950s. Two examples of his shoe works will feature, both with $8,000 high estimates.
The auction contains 120 lots in all, including portraits of fashion designers. A $70,000-valued photographic work of Giorgio Armani is the auction's most valuable item.

"With opening bids starting as low as $1,500, it is possible for collectors and Warhol enthusiasts at all levels to participate," says Christie's.
It is the latest in a series of auctions designed to benefit the foundation, which was established after Warhol's death in 1987.
Andy Warhol's Endangered Species: San Francisco Silverspot was the leading performer at the first of the auctions, in November last year. The circa 1983 artwork sold within estimate for $1.3m in New York.
The Warhol market is hot right now - he was the top selling artist of 2012.
The record for Warhol remains the $100m private treaty sale of his 1963 work, Eight Elvises, which sold in 2008.
