Jane Marsh lost her daughter in an alcohol-linked car accident, and is selling over_300_items in aid of UK charity BRAKE, which campaigns against drink-driving. She has supported them for the past six years.
The collection, assembled by simply writing many letters to celebrities to request aid for the cause, has an impressive and eclectic range of material, especially signed items, likely to appeal to a wide range of collectors.
There's a signed football shirt from England striker Alan Shearer and items from Jenson Button for sports fans and original programmes from the RSC for those interested in theatre history.
Music collectors of various stripes will want to take a look as items from the Saturdays and both Kylie and Danii Minogue nestle alongside memorabilia which belonged to Brian May.
Unusually, there is even a pair of British actress and presenter Amanda Holden's underpants. Undergarments are not usually items submitted in good causes (although it's not the first time…)
The timeliest submissions however are probably signatures by JK Rowling and a selection of other Harry Potter memorabilia. With The Deathly Hallows part II dominating the box office at the moment, interest is running high.
