Is there be a better music memorabilia investment than the autograph of the rock guitarist who many say was the best of all time...?
A look at the current collectibles markets reveals that a Jimi Hendrix signature - also autographed by his Jimi Hendrix Experience band mates Noel Redding and Mitch Mitchell - will auction at Churchgate Auctions Ltd on July 10.
The three rock legends' autographs are signed on a 9cm x 9cm piece of paper which, by repute, was penned outside the De Montfort Hall in Leicester during April 1967.

It reads "Love forever Jimi Hendrix, Love Noel Redding xx" on the obverse, while the drummer's signature, "Love Mitch xx," can be found on the reverse.
At the time, The Jimi Hendrix Experience was in the middle of one of the so-called 'package tours' which were popular in the 1960s, with a number of artists touring together and sharing the bill.
On that particular tour, Hendrix performed alongside The Walker Brothers (featuring '60s crooner Scott Walker), Cat Stevens and, last but by no means least, Engelbert Humperdinck.
The auction will take place in Leicester, UK, but interested collectors can also bid for the autograph online.

However, this isn't the only Hendrix signature currently available on the market.
A signed candid photograph of the guitarist from 1968 - during which time relations gradually declined between Hendrix and bassist Redding, leading to the latter's eventual replacement - is presently for sale.
And collectors also have the opportunity to own this autographed German pressing of the trio's classic Are You Experienced LP, signed by all three band members and dated Berlin, 31-8-1967.
Today, Hendrix's legacy as one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century remains assured.
Largely self-taught, he revolutionised electric guitar music - and today his signature is one of the most sought-after on the market.
