A superb condition cabinet photo of Queen Victoria in a full length pose, taken by Hughes and Mullins 'Photographers to Her Majesty', a Royal Warrant holding photographic company.
Victoria has signed a clean and crisp, "Victoria R June 21. 1887". The photo is believed to have been presented to one of her maids of honour at the time.
The data is of special significance as the whole of the British Empire was celebrating Victoria's Golden Jubilee on June 21 1887.
Victoria herself marked the 50th anniversary of her Accession by holding a banquet to which fifty European Kings and Princes were invited.
She also attended a thanksgiving ceremony at Westminster Abbey, unaware of a plot by Irish Nationalists to blow up the Abbey.
This is a very desirable item given the rarity of Victoria signings and the significance of the date.
