Five months after his death, Michael Jackson and the phenomena surrounding him still continues to generate excitement and headlines.
This week's Jackson buzz was stirred when iconic memorabilia from the singer's career appeared in Julien's Auctions' sale at the Hard Rock Cafe in New York, on November 17.
The star lot was Jackson's rhinestone-studded glove - the very glove he wore while debuting his legendary Moonwalk dance on television in 1983. It left the auction block valued at £212,000.
But it wasn't just the King of Pop that made the Julien's Auctions event such a massive success.
In the above video, the US news network MSNBC interviews auctioneer Darren Julien about the items on offer, including John Lennon's jacket and the earliest known tape recording of Madonna.
Items shown in the report include a jacket worn by Elvis Presley in his 1968 film Speedway (sold for $20,480) and Michael Jackson's 1985 Mercedes-Benz.
The leather-seated black 500 SEL, bought at the height of Jackson's career, sold for $104,550 - a remarkable price, but still less than half the value of the 1983 glove.
