A Second World War era Beano comic strip mocking the Nazis has sold for £950 ($1,367).

It was among the highlights of Curr & Dewarr's March 29 sale in Edinburgh.
Scottish cartoonist Dudley D Watkins was behind the strip, which was published in a 1940 edition of the comic. It was one of many he produced on the same theme.
In fact, he so annoyed the Nazis with his constant ribbing that he was added to the Gestapo's infamous Black Book.
