The works of Charles Dodgson, better known as Lewis Carroll, have had a significant impact at auction. Notably, the copy of his most famous work Alice in Wonderland owned by the child he created it for, Alice Liddell, sold for $115,000 at auction.
Another very special copy of the work has come up for auction: one of only 25 copies of a special edition of the book.
