A Rudyard Kipling first edition and other rare books are being held at a library in the Noida suburbs of New Delhi.

The collection includes Rudyard Kipling's 'Verses' (first edition, 1898), Walt Whitman's 'Leaves of Grass', M.M. Kaye's 'The Golden Calm' at Noida's Section 14 library.

The books were contributed by local library members.

Community libraries run by Kali Baris (temples) and Bengali associations are surfacing in many residential neighbourhoods in and around New Delhi.
