One of the world's rarest comic books, belonging to actor Nicolas Cage, has been recovered after an 11 year hunt.
A 1938 Action Comics No.1, notable for the debut of Superman, was stolen from the actor's Los Angeles home in 2000.
The comic, originally worth 10c, was discovered in a storage locker in the San Fernando Valley last month and is now being used as part of an investigation into the theft.
"It is divine providence that the comic was found and I am hopeful that the heirloom will be returned to my family," said Cage, who is a keen investor in rare comic books.

An Action Comics No.1 sold for $1.5m in March 2010, making it the world's most valuable comic. Cage's copy is thought to have been in mint condition when snatched.
Other comics taken in the raid have yet to be found. These include rarities such as a 1937 Detective Comics No. 1 and a 1939 Detective Comics No. 27, featuring Batman's first appearance.
