A first edition copy of Ian Fleming's Casino Royale, featuring its original dust jacket, achieved $15,600 against an $8,000-12,000 estimate at PBA Galleries' Beats, Counterculture and Avant Garde Literature sale in San Francisco on October 10.
The book is one of only 4,750 ever printed and was in good condition, featuring only light spotting and some wear to the jacket.

A unique copy of Tom Wolfe's the Electric Kool Aid Acid Test signed by Wolfe, Ken Kesey and 40 other members of the 1960s counterculture, including various Merry Pranksters, sold for $7,200.
