A colour aquatint of a wild turkey from John James Audubon's Birds of America realised $75,000 at Arader Galleries' January 25 auction in New York.
The Naturalism in the Time of Audubon auction included a range of hand coloured engravings from the artist's 19th century magnum opus.

A copy of the book achieved £7.3m ($11.5m) at Sotheby's London in 2010, becoming the world's second most valuable book.
