Two rare copies of Wisden Cricketers' Almanack are coming to auction this month.
The 1875 and 1876 editions, bound together and missing their original wrappers, will auction for an estimated £15,000 ($23,371) at Knights Auctioneers sale dedicated to the publication on September 14 in Leicester, UK. Some 269 lots will feature in all.

Revered by cricket lovers around the world, the yearly compendium of statistics was founded by cricketer John Wisden in 1864 as a competitor to Fred Lillywhite's The Guide to Cricketers.
A complete run of the Wisden Cricketers' Almanack for the years 1864 to 1984 auctioned for £90,000 ($140,000) in 2009.
