A photo album of women pilots from the 1930s is among the top lots of an auction at PBA Galleries.
Pilot Ruth Marshall put the album together |
It includes photographs of various members of the Ninety Nines, the women's aeronautical association founded by Amelia Earhart (among others) in 1929.
All are taken at locations throughout the US, including San Francisco's Mills Field and the Los Angeles Air Races.
Ruth Marshall, a pilot who appears in a number of the images, appears to have assembled the collection.
It's expected to make $3,000-5,000 ahead of the January 28 sale.
