A 1939 Vincent-HRD 998cc Rapide Series A is the lead lot of Bonhams' annual Spring Stafford Sale.

It's valued at £150,000-200,000 ($212,803-283,738) ahead of the April 23-24 auction.

Only 78 were made; today the model is among the most sought after of British motorcycles.

This example has been in the same collection since 1962 and is offered in totally unrestored condition.

The record for the model is £275,900 ($391,416), set at Bonhams last year.

A 1929 Coventry-Eagle 980cc Flying-8 OHV is estimated at £140,000-160,000 ($198,616-226,990).
