Only 1,400 coupes were built, with production running from 1954 to 1963.
The present lot was one of a number shipped to America. It was bought by Ernest Stern, a well-known Pittsburgh based collector.
It was later sold to a buyer in Italy and entered in several Mille Miglia events during the 1990s. It displays the classic white and red colour scheme.
Other high profile lots include a 1957 Mercedes-Benz 300sc coupe.
The model is one of only 98 built and is a rare matching numbers specimen.
Designed for celebrities and other wealthy clients, the car features an impressive range of features - from a self-emptying ashtray to a top of the line Becker Mexico radio.
No estimates are available for either of the cars.
A 1965 Shelby 427 Competition Cobra will auction with a valuation of up to $3.3m at RM Sotheby's Arizona auction on January 28-29.
