A 1959 Aston Martin Ulster will lead Bonhams' Grand Marques du Monde auction at the Grand Palais in Paris on February 9.

The lot is one of seven works cars Aston Martin built and competed in the 1935 RAC Tourist Trophy in Ulster (hence the name).
The tournament was the most important race in the UK at the time.
This car (ref CML 719) has since competed in the Mille Miglia and is a regular at concours events across Europe. It's valued at $1.7m-1.9m.
Another of the seven Aston Martin Ulsters made £2.9m ($3.5m) last year.
