A 1960 Bentley S2 Continental "Flying Spur" saloon has sold for £109,020 ($179,294) at Bonhams' Collectors' Motor Cars and Automobilia sale.
The auction took place in Oxford, UK on December 9.

The car features "Flying Spur" four-door coachwork by HJ Mulliner, built over the S2 chassis - which has a shorter radiator than previous Bentleys, along with four leading-shoe front drum brakes and higher gearing.
Rolls-Royce had originally planned to release the car solely as a two-door model, but in 1957 asked HJ Mulliner to create the four-door coachwork.
The car was sold fully repaired and serviced, with cosmetic restorations having been carried out in 2012.
A 1957 Chevrolet Corvette roadster also performed well at the sale, realising £96,700 ($158,887).

It contains the 283ci V8 engine that became standard in the year it was produced, and features fuel injection and a high-lit camshaft, along with the T10 four-speed manual gearbox.
It was restored in 1997-1998 by Paragon Corvette, a company based in Michigan, which went on to use it as its catalogue car.
It was also used in the filming of Magic City in 2012, a TV series about gangsters in 1950s Miami, which starred Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Olga Kurylenko.
A 1964 Citroen DS19 Decapotable, featuring coachwork by Henri Chapron, made £87,740 ($144,165).
