One of only two right-hand drive examples of the 1960 Steyr-Puch 500 is a rare addition to Silverstone Auctions' Autumn Sale, to be held on September 20 in the UK.

The Puch 500 came as a result of Steyr-Puch's decision to resume production following the second world war. Instead of producing a new design, however, the company agreed with Fiat to acquire and adapt the body of the Fiat 500.
The example at auction is valued at £15,000-18,000 ($24,330-29,197), providing an affordable yet rare opportunity for collectors.
Only the engine cover and roof were made in-house at Steyr Puch, the remaining panels being supplied by Fiat. However, the engine, transmission and carriage were made by Puch, and proved much smoother than those chosen by Fiat.
In contrast, a 1967 Fiat 500 is available in the sale at just £10,500-12,500 ($17,031-20,275).
