The Stanley Steamer is capable of extraordinary speeds
This car is a 2013 copy of the original model, which was built to compete in the prestigious Vanderbilt Cup.
The race was hosted in Long Island, New York from 1904.
Between 1906 and 1911 the Stanley Steamer was the fastest car on the planet, clinching the land speed record with a spectacular 127.6 mph run.
This exceptional clone was hand built over two years by JR Goold Vintage Steam Restorations of Bath, UK.
Each of the parts was painstakingly crafted after the originals.
