With auction records broken monthly in the classic car market, enthusiasts and collectors have set a new Guinness World Record in Mexico City.

Classic car parades don't come bigger than this

1,721 classic cars, ranging from Mustangs to Minis, paraded through the streets, with more than 250,000 spectators viewing them over a 3.5-mile route.

The previous record for such a display was set in 2002 in The Netherlands, with 948 classics on show.
