RM Sotheby’s' Monterey sale will feature the Ferrari Performance Collection, consisting of 13 top cars from the world’s most acclaimed marque.
The highlight will be a 1961 Ferrari 250 GT SWB Berlinetta, which is offered with an estimate of $8.5m-10m.

The SWB stands for Short Wheelbase, a feature that gave this model more sensitive handling than the standard issue.
Some 176 of this type were built. The present lot was the 110th chassis constructed.
It has spent most of its history in the care of Ferrari experts Charles Betz and Fred Peters and was a regular at Concours across California.
The auction house comments: “Claiming nearly four decades of care and a restoration by two of the country’s most respected Ferrari collectors, as well as Ferrari Classiche certification, this beautifully presented 250 GT SWB is one of the finest examples offered in recent years.”
The 250 series is considered the best of Ferrari’s output. Demand for these stunning cars is fierce, with average prices rising all the time.
A 1967 Ferrari 375 GTB 4 looks set to make around $2.7m-3.2m at the August 18-19 sale.
The car is one of the most sought after Ferraris, thanks to its sensational looks and superior handling.
A 1950 Ferrari Export Uovo, one of the marque’s most unusual designs, is also set to feature.
