George W Bush has donated his personal Ford F-150 pickup truck to Barrett-Jackson's forthcoming Scottsdale auction, in a bid to raise funds for charity.

The sale of Bush's 2009 F-150 King Ranch 4X4 SuperCrew on January 19 will benefit the Fisher House Foundation, which supports America's military families. He has used the monstrous pickup since leaving the White House in 2009, and has added his signature to boost its value.
The truck has never left the former president's Prairie Chapel Ranch in Crawford, Texas and looks to be in fantastic condition. The president commented: "I haven't driven on a street in many, many years, but I have been able to drive this truck on my ranch."

Bush has added his signature to the right airbag panel, and the car will be accompanied in the sale by a video of him driving the truck around his ranch. The title is currently in the former president's name and will be transferred directly to the buyer after the sale.
It is not just for its provenance that the truck is valued. It boasts a 5.4-litre V8 engine producing 310 hp, along with luxurious King Ranch premium leather interior and 11,200 towing capacity.
In 2012's Scottsdale auctions, a New Holland tractor that had once been owned by Tonight Show host Jay Leno and George W Bush sold for $535,000.
