Collectors are invited to consign their rare and historic automobiles to Leake's upcoming auction in Dallas, scheduled to take place on November 19-21.
The sale promises many wonderful and coveted highlights, including this distinctive piece of Americana: the 1970 Plymouth Super Bird.
|
Painted in lemon twist with a black vinyl roof, this matching numbers auto boasts a 440 CI V-8 engine, 6-pack carbs and automatic transmission.
According to Leake's lot notes, the Super Bird will be sold with a book of documentation, including a fender tag and Broadcast sheet.
Although it looks like it was designed to take-off into orbit, the car was actually originally built to win at NASCAR.
|
However, another 1,920 were built for the general public, of which this example is one. The Super Bird will reunited with its appreciative public in Dallas, next month.
Collectors with a love of muscle cars certainly won't want to miss out. Watch this space for upcoming news on the sale.
