Collectors have an opportunity to buy this Lotus 16, described by seller Legends as "the most original and unmolested example in existence."
The Lotus, Chassis 367, is a Team Lotus Works Formula 2 car raced by Innes Ireland during the 1959 season at Silverstone, Reims, Rouen, Brands Hatch and Crystal Palace.

Later in 1960, the car was used by Keith Finney in British events and, interestingly, raced by Peter Proctor in a Formula 1 race the following year in which it was the only front-engined car.
Since then, the Lotus 16 featured prominently in the Blackhawk Museum, San Francisco before being repatriated to the UK in 2006 and maintained by its current owner.

According to Legends, the car "is in race ready condition" and is fitted with the correct 1.5 litre stage one-and-a-half, Ray Buckley-built Coventry Climax FPF engine.
The historic car is being sold in Gloucestershire, UK. Its price is POA.
