Classic car collectors can pump some muscle at RM Auctions' upcoming American Sports and Muscle sale in Arizona, US on January 19-20.
An Blue Oval pony car and Bow Tie sports car are among the high performance classic cars for sale. In particular, Chevy enthusiasts will be treated to a 1953 Chevrolet Corvette.
The '53 Chevy is only the fifth of its kind ever built - and the first sold to the public, originally owned by the DuPont family.

Also for sale is a 1955 Corvette, the ninth built that year. It is one of only 700 Corvettes produced in total for 1955 - a rare piece of classic car history.
Aside from its significant rarity, the car is also regarded as the most photographed 1955 Corvette and "perhaps the finest extant," in the words of RM.
It also happens to be a perennial GM calendar car and the winner of many important show awards.
Meanwhile, muscle fans will be treated with a 1967 Camaro on offer, a special Nickey Speed Shop example. A 1967 Corvette 427/435 Roadster will also cross the block.

And if you're wondering about the Fords, look no further than the '65 Shelby GT350, '70 GT500 SCJ Fastback and '68 GT500 KR Convertible which round out the pony cars.
Finally, classic car fans won't want to miss this rare 427 Cobra. Billed as "highly original", the car's provenance is well documented - including just three owners and only 11,000 miles from new.
