Following the success of its Le Mans Classic sale - which achieved sales of almost €7 million with a 78% sell-through rate - Artcurial is gearing up its next auction.
The Automobiles sur les Champs Elysées auction is set to take place on November 7, and promises over 50 lots of automobiles and automobilia.
And among the sale's highlights is a very special motor indeed: a 1956 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing, one of the most sought-after collectors' cars in the world.

It boasts a lightweight chassis, speeds of up-to 150mph along with its innovative fuel injection and, of course, those iconic upwards-swinging doors.
The Gullwing is appearing in Artcurial's auction with a pre-sale estimate of €350,000-400,000 - just the latest of many coveted classics to roll into the Paris auctioneers' saleroom.
