An 1872 gothic florin diecap is the lead lot of a sale of British error coins at Spink New York on September 25.
The piece is expected to make $9,000-12,000.

It displays a rare concave "die dish" error and is believed to be unique.
Other lots include a James II (1686) Halfcrown with an off-centre strike.
Gregory J Cole, a senior numismatic expert at Spink, explains: "Generally, the Royal Mint was rather good at catching errors, thus this collection represents a sizeable offering of solid collector error coins."
