Bonhams will sell a group of nine medals awarded to wing commander AJL Craig of the Royal Air Force in London on July 13.

It includes a Distinguished Service Order and an MBE medal, both awarded in 1944.
Craig was mentioned in dispatches in 1944 for his virtuosic piloting of his bomber back to the UK following a direct hit from a flak gun on the continent.
After the war he served as a test pilot for a number of years.
The lot is expected to sell for around £10,000-15,000 ($13,335-20,000).
