A group of seven second world war medals awarded to bomb disposal expert Wing Commander Leonard Harrison will be sold on February 25.

The lot is valued at £80,000-100,000 ($115,984-144,980) ahead of the auction at Dix Noonan Webb in London.

Medals George Cross
The set includes a rare George Cross

The set includes a George Cross, awarded for a series of operations, including Harrison's disarming of a live mine attached to a trawler in 1940.

The record for a George Cross is £260,000 ($376,650), set last year for one awarded posthumously to British spy Violet Szabo.

A 1918-1962 General Service medal and a 1977 Jubilee medal are also included, among others.
