Heritage Auctions is offering a 19th century ship's figurehead in the likeness of Abraham Lincoln.

Bidding on the unique lot will start at $6,000 ahead of a dedicated September 17-ending sale of Lincoln memorabilia.
Heritage describes the item as being "generally in excellent condition and a wonderful piece of Americana.
"We are reminded of one 1860 campaign token which touts Lincoln as 'The Man That Can Split Rails or Guide the Ship of State.'"
The sale will also feature an important letter sent to Lincoln's first fiancee, Mary Owens.
