It's displayed on a certificate that reads: ''This flag traveled to the Moon with Apollo 11, the first manned lunar landing, July 20, 1969''.
The lot bears autographs from Michael Collins, Buzz Aldrin and Neil Amstrong and was offered in very good condition.
A briefcase belonging to King George VI and used during the second world war made $18,750.
It was sold alongside a number of photographs showing the king meeting troops and a letter from New York mayor Fiorello La Guardia inviting him to visit the city.
Other top selling lots included a maternity dress worn by Jackie Kennedy, which realised $12,500.
It was accompanied by a large number of candid family photographs and was given by Mrs Kennedy to former nanny Maud Shaw during the early 1960s.
