In a bid to raise money for charity, a number of top celebrities have donated signed hats to an eBay auction that will close later today (October 28).

The auction is being held by UK-based St Mungo's, a charity that provides emergency shelter to homeless people, supports their recovery and helps to prevent rough sleeping. The auction features hats in an array of styles from the top personalities in film, sport and music.
Given the film's recent release, an official baseball cap from the set of Skyfall that has been signed by Daniel Craig will surely see some of the highest bids in the auction. Craig has signed in gold pen on the peak. It is currently selling for £215 ($346).
A further highlight from the film and TV section of the sale is Renee Zellweger's Philip Treacy faux-fur wide-brimmed hat, which the actress has signed in the lining. Originating from Zellweger's own personal wardrobe, it has received 30 bids, raising £181 ($291) so far.

The most impressive hats of the sale are found in the music section, with the Pet Shop Boy's Neil Tennant donating the top hat which he wore on the 2006 Fundamental album cover. A unique opportunity from the most successful duo in UK music history, it is currently leading the sale at £1,770 ($2,849).
Kate Bush has donated a typically elaborate offering in the form of a faux-fur hat that she wore for the promotional artwork for her latest album, 50 Words for Snow.
