A guitar signed by all four members of legendary rock band KISS: Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Eric Singer and Tommy Thayer is being auctioned off by a KISS tribute band for the benefit of a firefighter who died in action.
Jon Davies lost his life whilst attempting to rescue tenants of an apartment building fire in Worcester, MA on December 8, 2011.
The guitar is new and was donated by KISS after hearing about the death of Jon Davies. 100% of the proceeds from the sale of this guitar will be donated to the Jon Davies Children Fund. The guitar comes with a padded gig bag.
The signatures are in silver marker and there is a silver KISS logo medallion affixed to the body of the guitar. Bids are being taken on eBay, where the Paul Stanley model PS1800 Washburn guitar ax has already received bids of $5,500 with just under six days to go.

(At Paul Fraser Collectibles we usually caution against buying collectibles on eBay as many fakes are offered through the site. In this case KISS is confirming the sale.)
2011 saw a number of guitars signed by musical greats offered to benefit good causes, either via Charitybuzz or just eBay. Two of these were a guitar used by Eddie Van Halen and one used on the Radiohead 'Kid A' album.
Of course, you don't necessarily have to buy a guitar to get hold of a great guitarist's autograph. We currently have signatures by Cream's Jack Bruce and even the legendary Jimi Hendrix in stock.
