The last portrait of Welsh poet Dylan Thomas (1914-1953) is to auction at Cardiff's Roger Jones & Co on September 6 with a valuation of ?30,000-40,000 ($49,767-66,356).

Swansea-based artist Gordon Stuart painted the piece while he was staying at Thomas' home in Carmarthenshire in 1953.
The lot is one of a number of artefacts from the poet's life offered in the dedicated sale - organised to coincide with his centenary - which will include manuscripts, letters and the gate to his house.
Auctioneer Ben Rogers Jones told the BBC: "The catalyst was really the centenary - we felt someone in Wales needed to organise such an auction - it just made sense.
"We've already had inquiries from the United States and the UK - two very strong markets for Dylan Thomas material."
