The original brass nameplate from the legendary LNER steam train the Flying Scotsman is to cross the block at Bonhams London.
|
It's valued at ?25,000-35,000 ($36,243-50,740) ahead of the February 9 sale.
The train ran between London and Edinburgh between 1862 and 1963 and famously smashed several records for speed - including becoming the first train to hit 100mph, in 1934.
This plate was fixed to the side of the train from 1930 onwards.
Recently the train has undergone a ?4.2m ($6m) restoration and will be back on the rails in May 2016.
