One of the largest country house sales ever to be held in the south-east of England is coming to East Sussex, UK tomorrow (Wednesday, September 23).
The auction will include a unique collection of Rolls Royce memorabilia and antiques worth hundreds of thousands of pounds; including Dutch furniture and continental paintings.
Items are being sold from the Rotherhurst estate, including a hip flask in the shape of a Rolls Royce radiator, valued between £200-300.
The estate is owned by Gerald Brummer, secretary of the South Eastern Rolls Royce Club.
Previous owners of the estate have included the Tate and Lyle family, renowned founders of the UK-based multinational agri-processor.
Auctioneers claim that the sale, which has an estimated value of £200,000, is one of the largest country house sales to be held in south-east of England for many years.
The house and its contents are being sold at auction by John Nicholson Auctioneers and Lyon and Turnbull Auctioneers.
