Mark Hamill Star Wars Tatooine poncho
This poncho didn't make it to the final cut, but is nonetheless a recognisable prop from the film

The sale, which offers a range of mid-level memorabilia spanning music, movies and art, will close for bids on December 5. The Mark Hamill-worn poncho is the highest valued lot, with a starting bid of ?20,000 ($32,635).

The poncho was worn in many alternate takes for the film, but did not make the final cut. However, Mark Hamill was photographed wearing it for many of the publicity images, and as Christie's states, "Luke Skywalker wearing his Tatooine poncho has become a recognisable and key image from the film".

Paul Fraser Collectibles is selling this fantastic prop from Star Wars: A New Hope.

Lennon's 'lost weekend' is one of the most talked about periods of his post-Beatles life, and actually lasted around two years

Han Solo's DL-44 Blaster is auctioning at Profiles in History on December 21.

Also starring in the sale is a signed letter from John Lennon, which was written during his "lost weekend" in 1973 - a period of estrangement from Yoko Ono when he became involved with May Pang.

The letter, starting at ?9,000 ($14,686), sees Lennon attempting to make amends with his ex-wife Cynthia following nearly five years of little to no contact, while referring to a holiday he had planned with his son Julian. Decorated with Lennon's trademark doodles, it hails from one of the most discussed periods of Lennon's post-Beatles life.

We have several superb example of Lennon's autograph for sale, as well as signed photographs and a range of Beatles memorabilia - see our full collection.

Also featuring is a suit worn by Daniel Craig as James Bond in Skyfall, which starts at ?7,000 ($11,422), and a gown worn by Audrey Hepburn in Paris When it Sizzles (1964), which holds a starting bid of ?6,000 ($9,790).

Art offered in the sale includes Bert Stern's famous The Last Sitting, a collection of photographs taken of Marilyn Monroe shortly before her death, which is currently selling for ?8,000 ($13,054), and the only sheet of unpeeled banana stickers from The Velvet Underground & Nico by Andy Warhol.
